About a month ago I told you all about my project plans for the future, (You can read the post here if you missed it,) and I thought it might be a good idea to keep you updated on how they’re progressing.

To be honest the progress has been, well, slow is probably being nice about it. Project One, or The photo-a-day project, has stalled completely. It never really got out of the gate to be fair. I think it will remain on the back burner for the time being. I feel like it’s a project I want to return to as I do like the concept but I need to figure out the practicalities of balancing the shooting with work and family. Which has proven to be a little trickier than I had anticipated.

Project Two, or The Morphin’ Series has progressed a little more, though not by much. I have actually managed to capture a couple of images for this one. Whilst they’ve been more test shots than anything, they have shown me that there is some legs in the idea and I’m very much still working on this one. More than anything else I’m just simply more excited for this than project one at the moment.

I am disappointed in the lack of progress? Not really. Yes I would like to be further along than I am on both projects, but I didn’t set myself any time-frame or limits on when they should be completed. To be disappointed that little has been accomplished so far seems somewhat redundant at this moment in time. I have to accept that I have a family and a full-time job to fit in round this creative endeavour, and I can’t do everything I want at once. Some things have to wait.

But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, so who knows what’ll happen.
