The Attic Studio‘s Daily Randomness Challenge continues with a few of the themes proving to be more than a bit challenging this week.
A Wonderful Surprise
This had me stumped for a while. Did not have any ideas for this. That was until I looked through the door of my son’s bedroom, and Bingo, I had my shot. Because as any parent will tell you, a tidy bedroom is most assuredly, a wonderful surprise.
It’s a shame it didn’t last.

Incognito
I had a few ideas for this one. A group of Lego ninjas making their way through the undergrowth. Maybe something with a superhero theme, like Arrow when he uses the greasepaint in the early seasons of the show. Or Clark Kent? Wearing a suit and with the glasses being pushed up the bridge of my nose in a homage to Christopher Reeves iconic portrayal.
In the end I went with the Invisible Man, my face hidden behind the layers wrapped around me. A slightly less warm day would have been preferable though.

Splash!
I couldn’t really think of something new to shoot for this one, so I dug into my archives instead. I remembered this shot and thought it would be perfect for the day’s theme. This was from a couple of years ago with the lovely Sarah Louise.

Wrinkles
This was another one that I had difficulty with. I kept thinking maybe something with fabric, but I couldn’t put anything together that I was happy with. In the end I decided to flip it on it’s head and just go the other way with it. Hence a shot of my youngest and the title of Wrinkle Free.

Reflection
I had the idea of shooting a toy figure with mirrors around them and getting a sort of infinite reflection effect. But I could not work out how to capture it, at least not in the time I had available to me. So I resorted to the good old standby of a self portrait.

Black and White
Now I could have just pulled out a monochrome shot from my archives or even shot anything I wanted and converted it to monochrome. Thing is I knew there would be a lot of black and white images that would be just that, and I do like to at least try and be different. And so I looked for a suitable page and photographed a book.

Blue
Again I could have done lots here. I could have put together something similar to last week’s Red, brought together all the Blue Ranger Zords and photographed them or even shot a pair of jeans. Instead I went into my archives again, picked this shot of the gorgeous Jade Bird, and played around in photoshop. I coloured sections in various shades of blue in an attempt to create something a bit different.

And that brings us to the end of another week of randomness. It’s been a bit trickier at times trying to come up with ideas that fit the theme but it has still been fun.
As always, Stay Safe and Stay Sane.
