This week I’m taking us back to March 2018 and a fabulously enjoyable shoot with the stunning Jade Bird at Wolfe Cottage. It was this shoot where I felt like things started to click for me. I had decided at the beginning of the year to focus shooting with just a simple light set-up. It’s just one light bounced into a couple of reflectors, having spent 12 months using it it’s become my go to setup and I begin every shoot with it.

I felt like my confidence was given a boost on this shoot and a found a few more steps on the path towards finding my style as well. Despite that, I still get nervous before a shoot, even though I’m the one behind the camera, and I still question my ability as a photographer. I don’t know, maybe that’s how everybody feels. All we can try to do is our best.
In the meantime, as always. . .
