I had been messaged sometime last year by Rach (aka Fairestofthemall), asking if I would be interested in working her sometime. I had my plate full with a variety of things at that point and we weren’t able to arrange anything at the time. At the beginning of the year Rach politely messaged again asking if I was available to shoot yet, and whilst I wasn’t at that moment in time I did make a note in my diary to ensure that I organised a shoot with her in the summer. Whilst it was a bit later than I had originally planned for, due to lock-down, we were finally able to get this shoot sorted. A quick jaunt up to Skegness, a little wander down to the beach and my first shoot after the easing of lock-down was a go.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, it is absolutely fantastic to be back behind the camera. I love shooting and sorely missed it in the six months I was unable to shoot. Not being able to shoot for six months has shown me how much I love being a photographer and that has pushed me to try some things that I certainly wouldn’t have considered six months ago, not least of which is shooting on location.
Feels like it could be the start of a whole new chapter, we’ll see how it goes. In the meantime,
