The fifth week of the never ending Attic Studio Daily Randomness Challenge is here! We had interesting mix of themes this week, some of which were much easier than others.
Stripes
I should really be thanking the Attic for this one. Soon as I saw the theme I knew that this jumpsuit was the response. Took me ages to find the photo I wanted though, I was sure that I had used the jumpsuit on this shoot with Mia Resa but it seemed like I had imagined it as I couldn’t find the images.
Turns out that I hadn’t finished editing them, for some bizarre reason. Which is a travesty, as I think they’re fabulous and some of my favourites from this shoot.

Being Kind/Kindness
I wasn’t sure how to go about this one. Since I couldn’t think up something to shoot that conveyed the theme, I decided to approach it a bit differently. I’m not sure if it exactly fits, but it felt like it should to me.
The quote I used is from an episode of Joss Whedon’s Firefly (The Message in case you were wondering. No? Oh well, too late now.). I feel it’s a reminder that we don’t need to go through life alone. We don’t have to struggle on our own, when the bad times drag us down, when we feel like we can’t go any further, we can reach out and find someone to help carry us through the storm.

Family heirloom
Now this one I struggled with. To the best of my knowledge there are no heirlooms in my family. Nothing that’s been passed down from one generation to the next. I do have a few things that I have inherited as family members have passed away. In particular this porcelain dog which belonged to my great gran, who passed away when I was two years old. Being only two I have no memories of her whatsoever, I know of no reason as to why this was passed to me, but it’s been with me ever since.
I’m also aware that the photo is terrible, it has not been my week for taking even half way decent photos on my phone.

Yellow
Nice and easy this one, a dip into the archives and the beautiful Amber Foxley in a yellow dress against a yellow wall. Simple.

Handmade
Apologies here for another terrible quality phone picture, this is the last one. For this week at least, I can’t predict what the future holds. Anyway this is a key hook and letter rack that I crafted from a few spare planks of wood.

Enjoyment
Whilst there are lots of things I could have chosen. Playing with my kids, spending time with the wife, watching movies, reading books or playing Xbox. It was always going to be this. Photography. These are just a few of the amazing people I have enjoyed working with over the last few years. I am really missing styling a shoot and working with a model in a studio to create beautiful images. It doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon though.

And so we come to the end as, same as last week, there’s only six images to share. The Attic ended the week once more with a caption contest.
I do hope you are all continuing to look after yourselves during these difficult times. I’m personally looking forward to a time when I will be able to shoot in a studio once more. In the meantime I will keep partaking in this daily dose of randomness, even if the photos are, at best, questionable and I will continue to share the weekly results with you all. In the meantime, as always,
Stay Safe and Stay Sane.
